From playing with my mother’s jewellery to realising my dreams with the man that I love - This is our story.
From cOAST to mountains
My childhood was spent exploring the Cornish coastline; climbing the jagged edges of the cliffs and chasing hermit crabs with my brother on pristine beaches shaped by rough seas. When my family relocated to Vienna, my fascination with nature’s irregular beauty grew as I took inspiration from the boundless mountains. These memories continue to influence my style to this day, but it was during my studies that I first embraced this realisation.
From polished to raw
My creative process has always centred around sculpting; the combination of working with my hands and my love of adornment led me to discover my passion for jewellery. During my technical studies in Vienna, the immaculate precision of each process was the focus of our education. Understanding classical jewellery making, a process of planning, calculating, and executing each piece, gave me the confidence to rebel against this concept of perfection. Embracing the irregular has since become the defining style of Katie g. Jewellery.
artistic TRANSFORMATION
My studies continued at the Alchimia Scuola di Gioielleria Contemporanea in Florence, where my style flourished. This free-spirited, creative environment allowed me to break the boundaries set by my former education. Surrounded by patinated walls, vast history, and an artisan atmosphere, Florence itself soon became the third environment to shape my style. The irregular beauty of the natural world was reflected in all of my work; I started to value each piece as a symbol of individualism, evolving into something more beautiful with each wear.

The business blossomed when my husband Georg came into the picture. On our honeymoon we made the decision to work together, and have never looked back. Georg handles the operations whilst I focus on designs and production. Our collaboration built the foundation for Katie g. Jewellery - we hope each piece that leaves our atelier in Vienna reveals our passion for what we do.
